Pre-out stereo phono outputs

These outputs will send sound (variable from the volume control) to a poweramp for either..

• Bi-amping speakers- slight to medium improvement in sound quality- use the integrated to drive the tweeters, and the 2 channel poweramp to drive the bass drivers.
• Multi-room- use long pair of phonos to a poweramp in another room
• Using the integrated amplifier as a Pre-amplifier only (using a more powerful poweramp)
• If you have a Pre-Amp (instead of a integrated- phono pair to your poweramp)

These are very useful in the long run- I would recommend buying a integrated amplifier with them on. Cheap amps do not have them, so if you bought a cheap Rotel (25W) and bought large speakers than the amp can handle, there is no way to use a larger more powerful amp (ie, Rotel RB-981- 130W) to increase sound quality, or when upgrading to larger speakers, and to decrease the likelyhood of clipping.
