Earth

You can connect the ground wire from your phono deck if you are having hum problems. Try with connected/not connected as sometimes you can make the sound worse by causing a star earth to build up electricity.

WARNING!!! Amp Earth is not Safety Earth, so do not use this for an External aerial's earth connection- as a lightning strike would possibly cause a fire. Use the your house ground rod.
