Complete DVD/Amp/Speaker/Subwoofer packages

Panasonic SC-HT80 £600 5 Disc DVD changer (Magazine) Stereo, Dolby Pro-Logic, Dolby Digital processing 5 satellite speakers Subwoofer Amplifiers for all speakers Remote Control I prefer the Sony DAVS-300 as it is more slimline & appealing. Also I think the DVD changer is unnecessary.

Pioneer System. £1000. This is a pretty good complete solution- DVD, learning remote, all the amplifers, LCD stand-display, sub & speakers. However, the speakers & subwoofer are a bit puny. Panasonic's or Sony's DAV-S300 system's are cheaper.

Sony DAV-S300 £600, seen for £450 Features.. DVD player with S-Video output Tuner Stereo, Dolby Pro-Logic, Dolby Digital & DTS processing 5 satellite speakers Subwoofer Amplifiers for all speakers Remote Control I believe this is a excellent 1st choice & complete system. It has everything but the TV. Although it cannot compare to a high quality system, obviously it does a good job at a modest price. Surprisingly, the satellite speakers are 3Ohm, which seems unusual. I personnaly find the subwoofer is the worse-sounding speaker of all budget & complete AV systems, as these cost the most.

Sony Pascal speaker system £600 A few magazines have slated the pascal for bad sound quality.
