The United States of America, has been one of the most active countries in World affairs. And although bound by constitution and public opinion, America has been involved in many of the world's top stories from the 20th Century; Delayed entries in the two World Wars, the Wall Street Crash of 1929, the Cold War, the Vietnamese and Korean Wars, The JFK assassination, Watergate and the Persian Gulf War of the 1990s. Despite these, America remains today the only country that can be classified a Superpower.

And although she may not have an Empire similiar to that of Britain in the 1900's, America has economic and military strength not found anywhere else in the world. From the presidency of William McKinley to Bill Clinton, America's Twentieth Century history remains both eventful and contraversial.
