PIC:OF:THE:WEEK
26 June 2005

During my trimming of a tree in our yard I got buzzed by a couple bees. After about the third time when they actually dive-bombed into my hair I took a closer look into the tree and realized they had set up camp. Luckily, I already had a hornet/wasp/yellowjacket spray and I just had to bide my time til evening for my sneak attack. I read the label before stealthily moving in for the kill and it had nice, easy instructions for wasps and yellowjackets. Hornets on the other hand had a large warning explaining that they will fly out of the nest and start attacking you. I decided this would not deter me so I suited up with a hat pulled down low over my nape and some gloves, set up my ladder, grabbed a flashlight and commenced with "operation sword" (sorry, Bush, I had the name first). Despite hearing many loud buzzing sounds in the darkness I took down the nest without a single sting.
