I had my first Father's Day as a father on Sunday. It really was a special day. Julian and I took a morning walk up to the local coffee shop where I saw lots of dads and wished them all a happy father's day. Then I got an iced decaf (w/ lots of milk and sugar) since it was a beautiful day. Joy made brunch for her dad and Winn who came over from the peninsula. We ended the day by taking Julian up to the park for his first swing.
There really is a special bond between you and your offspring that I can't begin to explain. Just thinking about the picture above can make me smile and often even chuckle as I'm just walking down the street. He is such an adorable boy! Happy Father's Day to all you papas out there.
