| I was amazed that out of ten families in our birthing class not one delivery had major complications. Well, there were two cesareans and one 36 hour labor -- I can't help but wonder how many deliveries would have gone well 34 years ago. 50 years ago? 100 years ago? I imagine you go that far back and a few babies would not have made it and maybe a mother. Thank goodness for the times we live in. After we heard all of the birth stories from our fellow birthing class couples we laid all the babies down on the ground next to each other. It was basically a huge baby mosh pit as they couldn't control their arms and legs very well. No black eyes to report though. Actually, it was cool because some of the babies were upset at first and then as soon as they are lying in this mass of other babies they settled down and just started looking around. Except Sophia, who couldn't keep her eyes off Julian. At some point her lips were on his head and it looked like she was kissing him. Easy on the ladies, son. |
