Now for my Bill Maher piece: I can't decide if I applaud Michael Moore (documentarian who made "Bowling For Columbine") for chastising President Bush during his Oscar acceptance speech or if I think one's personal views are best kept off the Oscar stage. One thing that is nice about the Oscars is that it makes us think that everything is going on as normal. But during these times the whole hoopla does make me cringe because it forces you to own up to what our society is and what it deems important.
