Renegade Rookie Camp Opens

It may be the middle of summer, but hockey season is already gearing up.

Tryouts for the Woodstock Renegades got underway at SouthWood Arena last night.

Renegades Owner Bill McLeod tells Heart-FM - Niagara Junior C Hockey is well worth the watch.

He says "it's a heck of a league", the level of this league is I would think higher than most Junior C than you would see around".

"these teams are good"

"there is a lot of talented players here"

McLeod says it's going to be a lot of fun having the ex-players back - they are a big part of the future.

Tryouts continue this Friday night at 6:15 at the Woodstock Community Complex.
