WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP
1. GET EDUCATED:
This is probably the first most important thing to do when campaigning against something. Read books and watch videos about Tibet. Learning about Tibet will help you make good decisions about what action to take to improve the situation.
2. WRITE TO POLITICIANS:
Writing to your local or federal member of parliament on the situation in Tibet and supplying them with factual information is always a good and practical step. Outline the facts of what has happened and what is currently happening and suggest what your government can do to help.
3. BOYCOTT CHINESE GOODS:
Selective purchasing is for serious campaigners. Many Chinese-made products are produced using prison labor.
4. RUN STALLS:
Running stalls in public places that are often frequented by lots of people is a good way to get knowledge of the situation in Tibet to the general public. This is often time consuming but well worth it.
5. STREET DEMONSTRATIONS:
Another time consuming but well worth it activity. Set up plays with you and friends that depict what has happened in Tibet and this will let the public see through the use of actions what has happened in Tibet.
There are countless things to be done in campaigning for Tibet. It's all up to you and your imagination. The main thing is to let other people know of the never ending human rights violations that have and are taking place in Tibet by the Chinese Authorities.
