My Comments

Well, the majority of you thought that the Borg could assimilate a star destroyer, but there was a great difference of opinion in how long it would take. The majority of you thought it would take two days or less, but a large minority (39%) thought that the Borg would fail. My personal view is that this would be a very tough battle for the Borg. If they can take out the bridge as their first step, then they stand a good chance. There is a very large crew in an ISD (compared to the Enterprise E), so this is no cakewalk. However, assuming they get control of the vital systems early on, my personal opinion is that they will take control in 2 days or less.

"There are 37000 crew on an ISD. If each Borg assimilates one crew member an hour it will take over 8 hours to do the whole crew. Triple or quadruple that to count for resistance. Two days or less seems reasonable." - True enough. An ISD's crew is 37 times larger than than of the Enterprise E. So if we knew how long they took in First Contact, we could have an idea.
