Dance to the Sound of a Suicide

I wrote this one after someone I was very close to committed suicide. It's a sort of auto-biographical peice of work that gives a glimps into what my life was like at the time. I've shared this one with a few people who had fallen into simular straits, so that they knew they wern't the only ones out there who felt that way. It seemed to help them sumhow. Now, I'm posting it here becasue I happen to think it's one of my better works. What do you think?

He's in the house all alone.
He unplugs every telephone.
He locks the deadbolt on the door
and closes the windows.

He walks into his downstairs room.
wrapped up in sence of impending doom.
He walks t o the dresser, takes out the knife;
this time he'l do it, he'll end his his life.

He looks at her picture, tries to hold to hold back the tears.
She's been be gone now for almost a year.
He feels his strength slowly ebbing away
like an old shell in the midst of decay.

And now the tears so freely flow,
thge emotion he never dared to show
washes over him like a wave.
Mixes with the salt of sudden rage.


Dance to the sound of a suicide.

Dance to the sound of a life life gone wrong.

(Whispered)
He places the kniufe against his chest,
and vows to give this effert his best.

He doesn't really want to die.
But he can't deal with the emteness inside!
