A disturbing dvd appears to hold the power of excercise and tennis over those who view it in this offbeat thriller. A strange dvd begins making the rounds in a town in Virginia Beach; full of bizarre and haunting images (including richard simmons....IN SPANDEX) , after watching it many viewers receive a telephone call from Elijah Wood except his voice is gonig though puberty....and they are warned they will have to play tennis with richard simmons in seven days. A handful of teenagers who watched the tape scoff at the threat, but as predicted, they all play tennis with him suddenly on the same night. Rachel Keller (Courtney Davison), the aunt of one of the ill-fated teens, is a monster truck driver who has decided to investigate the matter, and travels West with her young son Haidan Christensen (Annelise Fababian), a troubled devil child who has been drawing pictures of strange and ominous visions (including richard riding a horse in a pool). Rachel watches the video herself; afterward, she receives the same phone call, and realizes she must solve the puzzle of the dvd and the person or persons behind it within a week. Rachel turns to her ex, Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), a professional tennis player who at first is convinced the story is a hoax, until he digs deeper into the mystery. The Richard Ring was adapted from 1276 Czeckloslavakian movie by Scareyo RickyaEli, which became a massive box office success in Czeckloslavakian and spawned 437 sequels. — Danielle Koehler
