All about the goddess

My name is Selene Elizabeth Fitzsimmons.
Selene is the Greek moon goddess.
I was born into the house of the Moon in 1974 on the moon's day.

I hear the ocean in my dreams and cry when I'm happy and sad. The Moon is very strong in me. I have red hair, pale skin with golden freckles, blue eyes, and I'm very tall. I couldn't look more Irish if I were wearing a wool sweater and drinking a Guiness.

I am in a fabulous relationship with my best friend/husband, Jon. He has blond hair, blue eyes, pale skin with a few freckles, and the most devilish grin I've ever seen. Jon and I have been together for nearly fourteen years. He is the Yang to my Yin. He is the only person I would want with me on a desert island. He is the best part of me and keeps me balanced, safe, and laughing.

I live in Manchester, Missouri with Jon and our two 'children'. Morpheus is our black and white star, our first born, our prodigy. His name means Greek god of dreams and he lives up to it. His nickname, unfortunately, is Moochies. Olethros is our orange stripey baby; the onus. His name means Greek god of destruction and he lives up to it. His nickname is Meeper.

Please contact me to add on to Moon's Tears, my personal but open quote log.

Moon Pool's is full of poems, prose and short stories. I have included dates, relevant historical references, and the inspiration whenever possible. I hope you enjoy reading them the way I enjoyed creating them. But, your heart may break upon reading some the way mine did writing them. Either way, you'll be a different person afterwards, and change is a good thing.

I eat weird things, drink smoothies and diet Dr. Pepper, and sleep as long as I can. I am crabby, I waste my life on video games, and don't spend enough time with my friends. As a result of all these issues I have probably misquoted someone somewhere. I'm sorry if that's you, but if so, help me and... correct me! I can admit when I'm wrong, I just can't always recognize it. One small quote to end this tiny biography. This is from a song that my Grammie and Grampie like to sing. Grampie is 93 and Grammie will be 91 soon and they both realize what's important:

"Enjoy yourself; it's later than you think!"

Read on! The best is yet to come!
