Muppet Mom

I took this picture of my mom in December 1999 at her favorite restaurant, Steak'n Shake. She, my brother, Jon, and I had just finished getting a Christmas tree. It was our very first tree!

I think mom looks just like a Jim Henson creation in this picture, that's why I call it "Muppet Mom". I crack up every time I look at this picture.

My mom is my very best friend. I can tell her everything. She always has time for me. She always makes me feel better. One time she called me right before I left for work and I was smiling the rest of the day. She's hilarious, too. She's always telling these great jokes. And she tells them so well! She also plays the piano and sings. She has a pony and wants to live in Disney World.

By the way, her name is Phoebe. And depending on who you ask and what books you read "Phoebe" can be a Greek sun goddess or facet of the moon goddess.
