Rap Metal and Early Metal
Let's face it. Rap Metal, the only commercialy viable metal right now, is not particularly interesting. A lot of critics would even say that the scene sucks. Personally, I don't have a problem with Papa Roach or Linkin Park (Fred Durst is another matter). But I don't think anyone thinks the current crop is particularly encouraging for hard, dark rockers of the future. Staind does well enough, but they move farther and farther from Metal and more and more into Aaron Lewis acoustic folk stylings. Tool is still awsome, but I don't even know if they are comsidered metal. As a matter of fact I don't even like metal. I don't know why the hell I'm writing this.
Let's talk about Bowling instead. I used to bowl when I was in elementary school and I remeber liking it. It is good. Go bowl.
