WHOOOOOO!!!

I went to a 311 concert in lovely Gainesville, Florida, and I have to say, they didn't suck. When I first bought my tickets for the show, my only thought was "Whoooooo, music, whoooooo," but as the date of the concert approached it suddenly dawned on me that I was neither a 311 fan, nor a supporter of bands that suck. These two factors led to growing concern among myself that I would hate the upcoming concert.

When I entered the dirty and repuslive Stephen C. O'Connell Center, I was met with the tempered fury that is One Side Zero. They played for about thirty minutes to about half the people that would be there when 311 took the stage an hour later. The one indistinguishable song they played for the full thirty minutes was good, unless you don't like that sort of thing, in which case it was bad.

So anyways, 311 comes out and plays some shitty songs. Thankfully, two songs into their line up, and much to my suprise, they began playing songs that were actually pretty good. This continued for another hour, at which point they said "How you feelin' Gainesville?" after which they resumed rocking my face off. All in all, it kicked ass, an ass which was further kicked by the fact that I thought they would suck. Which they didn't. The moral of the story: don't judge a band by the appearance of Shaq in one of their videos.
