The World On Your Shoulders
If I am your world then your planets doomed
I can’t always stand behind you where your shadow loomed
You can’t push me away
I feel compelled to stay
I can explain it scientifically
If I’m your world, gravity won’t let you push away from me
Put your hand in mine and together we’ll run
If we have to, all the way to the sun
What happened to you? You had my trust
I used to be your world now I’m space dust
But maybe this rift from you
Is a gift from you
When you push me away I still remain
I only notice it a little but I can feel the pain
If you really wish to hear what is inside my heart
I used to be your planet, then you ripped your world apart
