4/11 **Upcoming gig** We're playing the Pitz on Friday 16th November , supporting Throat and Breed 77. Get down if you can, tickets are around 4 quid. The evening is being sponsored by those nice people at Total Rock Radio & Rock Sound magazine.
2/11 Thanks to all those who came down to the gig at Zak's. Also cheers to Andy at Mayhem Promotions and the other bands on the bill for a cool night
17/10 **Upcoming gig** We are supporting Minus (i) and Bloomer next Thursday (25/10 i think) at Zak's on the Mayhem Promotions bill. Get down if you can so we have a little support. The set will be similar to that at the Band Blitz, but expect a shoddy cover version of something thrown in to ease the tedium...
4/10 Following the cancelation of our slot on the Temperamental bill, we hope to be supporting THROAT and BREED 77 on a bill sponsored by TOTAL ROCK RADIO & ROCK SOUND magazine. Check back for comfirmation.
29/9 A few things to catch up on... The recordings of Mend and Void have finished, with a few minor changes to be made. Finances permitting, we'll have enough decent tracks to do a demo soon, but things are working well with the recording as an ongoing process. Each song we write we'll record eventually when we feel it is ready. Currently the band are concentrating on a couple of upcoming gigs, including a possible halloween date in Brighton and a confirmed gig on 2/9 supporting Temperemental at the Pitz. Things have slowed down recenly due to specific distractions (SD on holiday, Sword off to uni) but hopefully things will pick up in the run up to these dates.
1/9 Recording has been going well. Mend is complete and Void only lacks vocals. Watch this space. It may do something interesting.
11/8 If everything goes according to plan in the next few days we should have the first steps towards the 'MEND*ing' EP ready. The track listing stands at:
1. Mend (21st Century)
2. Close Our Eyes
3. Mauve
There may even be a very limited version available with one extra track but this has yet to be finalised. We will keep you posted.
9/8 Some new additions to the site... new photos ae being added and catalogued, thanks to Toby an Sophie for their great pics. A short biography has also been added. In other news, we expect to record 'Mend' in the next few weeks which, depending on quality, will be available for download
4/8 I would just like to say on behalf of the band how grateful we are to all of you that turned up last night and showed your support at the Band Blitz heat. In my mind the night was a triumph, as we got through ou first gig without death or personal injury! Thanks for all the feedback, and don't feel bad about a little constructive criticism...
In addition, congratulations to Rougus and good luck in the final.
15/7 Finally! Mauve and Void are now available for downloading from the LISTEN section. Loophole and Linus will hopefully be added shortly
13/7 I'm still working on putting the mp3s up. Angelfire don't seem to want to upload them so i'm looking around for somewhere hard enough to handle us. Any ideas?
3/7 Well people, the Band Blitz is fast approaching. Exactly a month from now ND will be taking the stage for the very first time. Much is expected, little is certain. It's going to be interesting, that i can assure you. I look forward to seeing you all there.
25/6 Holy guacamole! Last night's Deftones gig was truly awesome - here are the highlights...
After finding out to much elation that Lostprophets are supporting, Sword, Nathan and Sophie meet up with former drummer Dan Newstead at the front of the queue. 90 minutes later, said excited persons wait for thr prophets lads' arrival
Following jibes from Nathan and Sword (all in good spirit you understand), Prophets singer Ian Watkins admits he is 'feeling the love', before bass player is persuaded to show a little ass...
Five songs in, Sword's manly profile (and ridiculous shouting) catches attention of Prophets guitarist who gladly accepts the ND demo, not realising he will later be required to burn it for fear of sounding inferior...
As the set finishes, Sword is handed the guitarists pick (medium gaugue incase you're interested)
Despite loss of blood to the legs dued to ridiculous metal separation device, the ND boys 'give it up large stylee' as the 'tones stroll onstage to open what proves to be a ridiculously awesome set. A few songs in, Sword watches the boys onstage through the legs of Chino, who stands on the barrier directly infront of him. Despite attempting to keep a cool facade, Sword wets his pants as a bead of sweat drops from the front man's beard in to his eye. Cue three minutes of contact lens fiddling...
In a break between songs, Nathan and Sword barrack Chino with requests for an early demo, now an ND favourite. Following a discussion with Chi, Chino informs us that they don't know how to play it any more...DAMN. Still, we did our best
Mid-set, Sword finally manages to pull another demo from his pocket. Having seen the previous attempt, a security guard wrestles the tape from his manly grasp, only to hand it to the Deftones manager who is watching from the front of the stage. More pant wetting ensues...
Chino offers his drink to the crowd, looking for someone over twenty one. Chi suggests Sword, who is anticipating a cup full of Deftone semen. Chino clearly cannot understand Chi's ridiculous ramblings (possibly in Welsh) and eventually hands it to some ugly gimp with bad hair
As final song '7 Words' finishes, Sword catches Chi's mic in time to scream NEEERVOOOOUS DIIISPOOOSIIITION into it, though due to Chi clearly setting the mic to 'grunt only' mode, the crowd are treated to a quiet mumble of incoherent rambling
Highlight for Nathan though was flooring some dumb bastard that tried to mount him AFTER the set had finished with one swift elbow shot to the face. Supoib
Post-gig, the boys bump into both singer and guitarist from Lostprophets and ensure that said demo was mentioned
Finally back in MK, all of ND delight in watching WWF King of the Ring before retiring for the night...
17/6 The demo is fully mixed and will be available to download as soon as I work out hoe to put it up! If anyone wants a tape or minidisc to get an idea of how we sound (bearing in mind that they're only guitar and vocal tracks) then just ask one of us or email (see the profiles section for email addys). Enjoy!
14/6 Phew! After two days of piecing together, three of the demo tracks have been mixed with just Void remaining. All four tracks are guitar and vocals only but serve as a good indication of our style. The sound quality has come out well, and you should see them available for download as soon as i work out how to put them up
11/6 The rough download demos are currently being recorded at an undisclosed location. Three or four guitar/vocal tracks should be available soon. As I write, Linus and Void have been completed and Loophole is being worked on. There's also the possibility of an acoustic run through Mauve.
31/5 With a little luck there should be a couple of mp3s for download in a few weeks. We're anxious to record some real rough demos of songs (perhaps even just acoustic) so that we can get a few opinions on our strengths and weaknesses. If nothing else, it'll make for an interesting listen. PS click here if you wanna see the suggested ND tattoo. I kinda like it but it does look a bit like "rd"!
30/5 Not too much to update y'all on right now. Nathan managed to successfully 'network' at the Ozzfest and even ended up signing autographs! The hastily scheduled practise last week went well, and two new songs are progressing nicely - 'Primrose' (Tool-y intricate mood thing) and 'Mauve' (a noisy fucker of a song). Things should lift off in a few weeks, when all band members are aroung long term and we can all work towards the Band Blitz. Contrary to rumours i've heard, we're playing the competition for experience and hope to do well. With a little luck we'll play a few gigs out of town (possibly Brighton) to get a little more live practise.
13/5 Well it's been a long time, far too long in fact. There's lots to fill you all in with. Firstly, the demo will be recorded this summer in THE DUNGEON in Oxford. It will be widely available through Virgin Megastores throughout the country. Current track listing is as follows:
Mend (21st Century)
Blanket
Loophole
Linus
This is, however, subject to change.
As we speak ND are currently trying to get everything set for a few local gigs towards the end of the summer, possibly playing with some friends of theirs as well as playing the infamous MK Band Blitz competition at Woughton Leisure Centre.
Finally, the site can now be accessed through www.nervousdisposition.com so please let everyone know! Thank you. Look out for more soon.
17/3 Updating the site constantly in an effort to improve things. Keep your eyes peeled for new things being added.
16/3 It would seem that Swordfest Cardiff is probably off now. However, there's no slacking in the world of ND and it now appears that they may be in the studio over that period recording their much anticipated demo.
8/3 New songs have been written in the last couple of days. Expect some rather shoddy samples on here soon followed by some excellent recordings in the future.
7/3 Sorry it's taken so long to update the site. There will be loads more stuff added in the next couple of weeks.
15/2 UPDATES!!!!! The site has been updated now with a message board added for you all! More soon.
14/2 HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!!
