Animals and Nature

These are some of my favorite animals/nature pictures that I have taken. :)

This is one that i took out my bedroom window just near the end of this summer. There is a big puff flower bush right below my window that grows level with my window ceil. I used my large lense to take these next couple. I like how big the bumble bee looks compared to his acutal size, which would have to be about the size of a marble. He was one of the smaller ones that were buzzing around my window that day. Ain't he cute? :)

I like this one just because it's such a unique shot. The butterfly and bumble bee are just so close, it almost looks like they want to take a closer look at one another.

This one is just of the butterfly. It looks a tad bit off centre, but that is just how the picture was taken. i wanted to get most of the flower into the picture too, so i ended up having the butterfly in the left side of the photograph. I find it created a very nice effect.

This is a picture of my two newts Mork and Mindy, Mork being the big fat one on the right, and Mindy being the little tiny one on the left. (unfortunatly shotly after taking this picture mork got out of a separate bowl and died. Now i only have mindy who i renamed wigglesworth. Mindy was too female a name, i needed one you could use for both sexes since i don't know if it is a male or female.)

This is a belly shot of my surviving newt mindy, which now goes by the name of wigglesworth. Isn't he/she cute?

This is a picture I took down by the rapids close to the Point beach area. I love this shot because of the cool reflection of the house and it's surroundings. I think its a very calming and peaceful picture to look at.

This is a picture taken a little ways down from the laurentian drive ski hill. I think it's a breathtaking shot. I just love all the beautiful autum colours! Great shot!

This is a picture from last year of a tree in my back yard. I loved the blending of the orange, red, and yellow in the leaves and just had to capture the effect on film. Very nice.

This is another shot taken down by the point beach/rapids area. This was acutally an acidental shot. I was playing with my long lense capabilities and was trying to see how close i could foucus on this growth of flowers. I acidently push the shutter button down all the way and took a picture of it.(on my camera if you push it only halfway down it focuses the lense) I was quite impressed with my mistake when i saw what a great shot it turned out to be. Gotta love happy mishaps!
