Engine & DrivelineClass 9 buggie class has an open engine limit (to 6 litre) so we chose an engine that gave good power over a broad range, and develops good torqe through out the power band, We also chose the SR20 for it's weight, with an alloy block this helps to keep the total car weight down.

As you can see the engine is naturally aspirated and running twin side draft webbers, and a hand made tuned length exhaust system. |
Driveline
The Gearbox is a 2 litre combi box, with a full albins close ratio gearset, and a supper diff. Using posche CV joints to allow more wheel travel, and take more power. The axles are custom made to length once again to increase wheel travel and cope with the power. the clutch is a heavy duty racing clutch, and is operated by a hydraulic slave cylinder for reliability. the half shafts have been modifid to suit the porsche CV joints |
