got no strings






silently he sits
ignored by warm hands
so lonely he can't move
but he's got no strings
to hold him down

and if he had to he could
and his voice is not silenced
because he's got no strings
to hold him down

he stays out of line
just out of reach
but one more turn of the screw
and he's tamed and tuned

cause now he has strings
to hold him down
bottom to the floor
a slave to warm hands
