So, this is what I've found out since I've come to Wilkes... Hell is looking like a better thing than college! Finals are a bitch, but even worse are huge projects for upper level classes. Don't get me wrong, I'd do it all over again (yes, I guess I am sado-masochist). I like my major a lot. I enjoy what I do outside of the classrooms, too. I found a wealth of great people and I'm gaining a good deal of experience in all kinds of areas - including becoming a better person, I hope. All in all, that's great, but it's tough stuff... there's nothing else to say on that.
Really, college is not for the weak of spirit, mind or body. You have to be ready to put up with hell. Classes are hard, even when they're easy (ask me to explain that one!), friends are wonderful, but you still have to put up with the petty high school non-sense that you thought you graduated and got away from. The only difference is that attacks are at a whole new level, and the ballgame is under a new set of rules that no one really knows.
I've always been tempermental. If I said that this has changed I'd be lying. I'm going to try NOT to do that on this site if I can possibly help it. I've come to find out more about myself, accept myself, and even enjoy my life a little.
I've found out that I really do need a cause to fight for or I'm not happy. I need a deadline to meet, and I can't do anything before it or I don't work up to my best ability. I will be a life-long procrastinator because when I get things done early they don't really reflect me.
Now, here's the kick in the tail... I'm boring! I have no life outside of classes and my activities. I know that sounds odd, especially after some stories you may hear, but I think it's about as close to the truth that you're going to get, though my friends may tell you otherwise.
