Spiritualized

The album erupts with "On Fire" instantly exposing and unbelievable taste of ear candy. We haven't heard from Spiritualized since 1997 with the release "Ladies and Gentlemen we are floating in Space." Spiritualized is back with more instrumental flavor than ever. The follow up "Let it Come Down" is loaded with continuous feel good tunes, one after another. Exploding onto college radio, ten or so years ago, they brought a new sound to the underground indie scene. Spiritualized introduced a new unique blend of Radiohead meets Moby meets Thrush Hermit. With the most recent release, Spiritualized demonstrates more of their signature sound with a twist of more upbeat jazzy blues riffs, yet cooled down with laid-back melancholia. Unlikely to be heard on the weekly top 40, they're amongst the top of the heap of college radio. Tune into CJSW 90.9 for a glimpse. Even if you aren't into the spiritual lyrics, by the time "Stop your Crying" rolls around, you'll be so wrapped up in the rythmic talents of J. Spaceman to notice.
