More info on "Merv"

Mentioned by the profile but not elaborated upon:

What it says on Merv's shirt.
In the center on his chest it says, "got sanity? (tm)*". If your character looks hard enough chances are s/he can read it, but it will be a strain. If s/he could read this you could also read what's written lower, along the bottom:
*Trademark violation punishable by death. Violations include but are not limited verbal and/or written expression of trademark phrase.

The contents of his bag.
There are at least 20 different kinds of knives in this bag. Most have filtered down to the bottom. Also inside are what appear to be random pieces of metal and leather, along with a straight jacket and a muzzle, which he keeps for nostalgiac reasons. Also, there is a skull and a few cheap-looking knick-nacks, among which you would find a carefully tied box bound in some kind of leather.

Special abilities and powers:
This is a very brief and temporary description.
Super-fast movement- As in, moving so fast that it's beyond normal human sight
Cam-oo-flagey- He can hide fairly well in just about anything. AKA stealth?
Adrenaline- Taken to a whole new level. Pain actually increases his power, but only up to a point. If he's beheaded, for example, it's not going to help much.
Night vision- Limited. He can't see perfectly in the darkness, just much better than most humans.
Magic-learning-ness- He has the ability to learn shadow magic.

Theme song?
Yes. Listen to Beheaded by The Offspring.

History
I'm going to keep this brief. I'm sure it's obvious that Merv hasn't always been in the Keep, so this is the story of how he got there and why he went in the first place.
In the "real world", as we call it, Merv was... well... okay, he was a psychopath. He liked to kill people, and he did it fairly well and frequently. However, he came across some competition- a supposed monster with supernatural-like speed and skill.
So he stalked this "super-slayer" back to its home and killed its entire family. Unfortunately during all of this he had aroused the suspicion of neighbors, who called the police. When he finally found the Slayer, who was peacefully asleep, he didn't have time to do anything before the police came. And since he kept screaming about how he'd found the Slayer, the police thought it was him and locked him up.
So he was in jail for a while. This ended suddenly when he was offered freedom by a "mysterious stranger-person"... along with certain perks, such as little skills to help him catch the Slayer.
That's pretty much it. And crappily told. ^_^
