Story You are Major Archer, part of an elite fighting force, the Gunmen. far in the future you defend and conquer planets a galaxies. You lost contact with a science team on a jungle-ish planet. When the ships arived, the General told you to check the compound and see what's going on. But it seems as if the place haden't been touched for years, as it was covered in vines and plants. Your squad entered the area, but nothing seemed to be goin on. There was no one around, no scientists, no people, nobody. Just as you were walking away, they struck. The giant xenomes came and ate half your men. The General tried to help, but firing at the giant worms only angered them. Finaly, the biggest worm snatched the General's ship, and slithered back down underground. Everyone was going nuts. The ships fled without confirmation of the Generals death. You were'nt supposed to do that... 5 years later The xenome infestation is spreading, and planets are being consumed by these things. What the hell is going on? You have been idolized for making it back alive. You're one of the only survivors from that incident, and they're praising you. Doesn't really make sense. You have been asigned to a mission to see what's goin on down on an uncharted planet. Some weird stuff is happening down there, and it might be linked to the Xenome infestaion... Storyline Characters The General: He was the head of the gunmen, up until the battle of Banzure Prime. While trying to destroy the giant Xenomes, one of them got the best of him...swollowed him alive. Now that you're in the jungle, you meet up with him again. The creature couldn't digest the general, or his men and scientists. The general is now using these powerful Xenomes against the gunmen for revenge. His scientists have made them stronger, and his bandits have done the manual labor. Good luck against them. The Alpha Species: This is what ate the General and his men and ships. It couldn't digest the general and his men, so the General killed it from the inside. Now he's using it against you and the gunmen. You don't actual fight this thing, but late in the game, you let it loose. It destroys everything, and shows the General who's the boss. But don't let it get the best of you! The Mainframe: This is the science teams conputer protection on The Ferrin Moon. She goes haywire, realizing what the scientists are doing. She tries to destroy all the xenomes and scientists with her drones. But when you get there, you are, in her "eyes", part of the xenome problem. She tries to elimanate you as well. But you won't let that happen, will you? After you disarm the planet's meteoroid protecton, you are both in for quite a ride. She proposes a truce, that you will get her off the planet, and she will save the both of you. After accepting, you get to icnus, and to the underground base. She takes over the underground bases, and restores some order the the universe. After making herself a physical body, quite an appealing one, she helps you fight the General and his Xenomes. An unlikely ally, so I think.
