This page exsists to facilitate comprehention of Da Pig's reviews. Here, all the catagories have been explained and each rating on the numerical scale described. PIG RATINGS! It should be fairly evident upon casual inspection of the reviews that we at Da Pig work on a scale of 1 through 10. Here is a breakdown of the ratings. 0 - 2 When a film recieves this score, there is nothing good about it, this is reserved for real cinematic garbage. 2 - 4 This stuff is better than super-steaming-donkey crap, but not much. 4 -6 Purely average. This is the catagory in which you will find films like most of the Nightmare on Elm Street series. Not bad, but far from great. 6 - 8 Getting better. The lower ratings in this catagory are average films, the higher ratings are the beginnings of greatness. 8 - 9 Only the very best can achieve a score like this. This catagory is indicitive of the best the genre has to offer. 9 - 10 This is reserved for the very best films ever made. GORE - This catagory is self explanitory. This catagory reflects how much gore each film has. The higher the rating, the more gore present. SENSELESS VIOLENCE - How much of the film's violence exsists solely for violence sake. This catagory judges how many people/animals/things not central to the story, are subjected to horrific violence! HUMAN CRUSHING FACTOR - How hopeless the situation is for the humans. The higher the rating, the lower the chance the humans will survive indefinately. FUN - How much fun is the film to watch. OVERALL [NOT an average] - The final score, as stated, is not an average, but rather a reflection of what the reviewer believes the film deserves overall. As we know, there are times when overall, a film is greater than the sum of it's parts. |
