Objectives:

  1. Integrate the Head module with all its functions in the Robot’s body and make the head react to voice commands using the voice recognition system.
  2. Install a sonar system into the Robot, and create a computer program that could make the Robot avoid obstacles using an obstacle avoidance system.
  3. Install and improve the functions and commands of the voice recognition system
  4. Modify the body of the Robot in order to reduce the width measurement to 36 inches or less
  5. Modify the electrical circuits in order to simplify troubleshooting and upgrading of the Robot.
  6. Install limit switches to both shoulder motors with the intention of limiting the rotation range of the Robot’s arms.
  7. Install encoders to the base motors to have better control of the Robot movements.
  8. Integrate vision system (COGNEX Camera) into the Robot’s body in order to identify geometric figures and colors.
