Eyebot

The EYEBOT Controller is a powerful 32-bit micro-controller
board with graphic displays, and a digital grayscale or color camera
allowing it to do onboard image processing. This allows to write
powerful robot control programs without the use of heavy computer
systems.

Main Features:
25MHz 32bit Controller
1MB RAM
512KB ROM
1 parallel port
2 serial ports
8 digital inputs
8 digital outputs
8 analog inputs
Single compact PCB
Large graphics LCD
4 input buttons
Reset button, power switch
Speaker for audio output
Microphone for audio input
Battery level indication
Connectors for Actuators and Sensors:
Digital camera
2 DC motors with encoders
12 servos
6 infrared-sensors (or 6 free digital inputs)
2 bumpers (or 2 free digital inputs)
6 free analog inputs

EYEBOT Controller Power Supply Converter
The EYEBOT controller can operate from 6 to 12 VDC, but its nominal operational voltage is 7 V. To provide the nominal voltage to the EYEBOT, a voltage power supply converter had to be integrated into the design. This power supply converts 12 VDC that comes from the battery, to 6 dc Volts allowing the EYEBOT to operate to its nominal voltage.

EYEBOT Controller
Considering the capabilities/limitations of the
EYEBOT and the design’s objectives, the
following EYEBOT resources were used to connect
and integrate the different devices into the EYEBOT .

System EYEBOT Configuration
Voice recognition System Serial port 1
Head System Digital output 4,5,6
Obstacle Avoidance Analog input 2, 4, 6
Right Base Motor Servomotor output 9
Left Base Motor Servomotor output 8
EYEBOT to VCR interface Digital output 1,2,3
EYEBOT Power Voltage converter (12-6)
