Located in the Pisgah National Forest just north of Brevard. Just 7.6 miles from the junction of US Hwys 276 and 64 is Sliding Rock, a naturally occurring 60-foot waterslide with a seven-foot deep pool that has been developed by the US Forest Service into a recreation area. Sliding Rock is an exhilarating ride that's fueled by 11,000 gallons of water a minute. There's a large parking lot adjacent to Sliding Rock ($1 per person parking fee) as well as a bathhouse. Lifeguards are on duty from 10am to 6pm from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
