What PS2 Version do i have???
This page will help you understand which PS2 Version you have when ordering a laser or any other part YOU MUST KNOW THIS OR YOU CAN ORDER A WRONG PART!!!
If you have a Version 1
If your serial number begins with a 'U1' and has a total of 10 case screws (located on bottom of case) then your PS2 is US version 1.
If your serial number begins with a 'U0' and has a total of 10 case screws (located on bottom of case) then your PS2 is US version 2.
If your serial number begins with a 'U2' and has a total of 10 case screws (located on bottom of case) then your PS2 is US version 3.
If your serial number begins with a 'U3' 'U4' 'U5' or a 'U6' and has a total of 8 case screws (located on bottom of case) then your PS2 is US version 4.
If your model number contains the letter 'R' at the end (example SCPH-30001 R) then your PS2 is a US version 5.
There is no need to put in a version 6 indentification since the laser and all other parts are the same for version 5 as they are for version 6.
