Welcome Everyone! My name is Joanie Manning and I am a student at Santa Fe Community College. As a Nursing Major I've found this information to be very beneficial and I hope you will too. These sites represent my interests about nursing, contain an abundance of information, and provide a foundation for my career goals.
These sites reflect my interest in becoming a registered nurse. The awhonn and dcchildren's websites are related to the areas of nursing in which I'm interested, pediatrics and obseterics. The schools I chose are possible places I would consider, if I decide to get a BA in nursing. However, the goal right now is to take all my prereq's and enter Santa Fe's nursing program.
The college board link as well as the links about salary are quite informative. The knowledge I gained from those websites will help me in my career decisions. I learned that I would like to be a head nurse instead of a staff nurse since it would be more lucrative and offer a more challenging role. I also learned if I want more opportunities for advancement, I should think about pursuing a BA.
All this information will help me along my career path. If everything works out for my nursing career, I will take all this information with me in my career decisions.
