Based on the setting you may made in the “Security Option”
of the “BIOS FEATURS SETUP”, this main menu lets you configure the system (Security
Option: System) so that a password is required every time the system
boots or an attempt is made to enter the Setup program. If you select “Security
Option: Setup” the password required only in an attempt is
made to enter Setup program. Change the password as follows:
“Enter Password:”
(If you do not wish to use the
password function, you can just press <Enter> and a “Password Disabled”
message appears or if you want to change your old password to new one then type
your new password.)
“Confirm
Password:”
Note:
CAUTION: If you forget your password, you must disable the
CMOS by turning power off and set CMOS clear Jumper or contacts to “Clear”
position. After you set it to “Clear”, set it back to “Normal”.
Your password may disabled. If you fail to clear password, then do above things
again and turn on the power for very short time and turn it off. Now password
may clear. (See you mainboard manual to locate this Jumper or Contacts. Some
main board may provide different method to clear the CMOS RAM. See your manual
or contact your mainboard manufacturer.)
