D-Monic II was decided to be a lost cause in early March. The bot was far from done and it basically sucked. Casey and I then decided to sacrifice our spring break to build a brand new body for the bot. Same parts from D-Monic II, but in a brand new configuration. Mitch build the blade over his spring break (the week before ours) and dropped it off on Saturday (the first build day). During the week Casey had picked up some stainless steel from Mr. Rice (Thanks Mr. Rice) and got some other structural steel peices. Over the corse of one week, we welded, cut, grinded, and dremeled. We worked from Saturday at noon to the next Saturday (sometime late at night). On Sunday we painted and the bot shipped on Monday. This whole build sounds like an episode of Monster Garage. D3 competed at Battlebots IQ II.
