1984 Royal Crown (RC) Cola clock

This is the first soda-pop advertising clock I acquired. It is an electric RC cola clock with a large blue face and white numbers and white hands. The RC logo is at the top of the clock. The clock is made of plastic except for the chrome frame and the metal hands. The clock is powered by a Lanshire clock motor. On the back of the clock is the following:

MIRRO PRODUCTS CO.

HIGH POINT, N.C.

JUN 28, 1984

When I acquired it, the clock was dirty, but intact. The clock did not work when plugged in though. I cleaned the plastic parts of the clock with Novus #1 plastic polish and I cleaned the metal with a damp rag. The clock turned out really nice. The cord had been replaced at some point, but was still in good condition, so I left it alone. I cleaned out the clock motor with a contact cleaner that I use in radio tuners and volume controls and let it set overnight. The next morning, I tried the clock and it worked. I left it plugged in for three days and it kept perfect time. I hope they will all be this easy!
