Mega Man

NES

Mega Man 1-6

These games pioneered the Mega Man saga. The first one made for the NES had pretty bad graphics, but then as the years went by, the people at CAPCOM decided to use better engines in their games, to make the possibility of better graphics and sound more reachable. The games themselves played very well. The controls were very easy to learn and I got the hang of them very quickly. My faves in this category have got to be Mega Man 3 and 4. The games pale in comparison to some of the new games, but they can still hold their ground against most NES games.

SNES

Mega Man X 1-3, Mega man 7, 9, Mega Man Soccor

This was the where people really got hooked onto Mega Man. The game Mega Man X brought Mega Man into the spotlight again. Even though it had some new version of Mega Man, X, it still had the Mega Man qualities that fans loved. I still have this game at home! That's how good it is! Mega Man X3 was the last one made for the SNES. It used a new graphics chip, the C-4, to allow for smoother graphics and new CGI enemies. This game had a few bugs. Like when one day I went to play it and I got some error message that the C-4 chip wasn't working. The game played fine, but that's only happened once to me! Anyone else? Email me if this has happened to you.

The next set of SNES games reverted back to the original Mega Man series. It no longer had animal bosses like the Mega Man X series. It went back to the old "(insert name here) Man" scheme. This time around though, the games got a new facelift. The people at CAPCOM decided to allow for more frames of characters. This meant better graphics! The best example of this has got to be Tengu Man from Mega Man 9. His animation intro has an almost Anime quality to it. The animation is that good! You even get to choose who you want to be in the game! Between Mega Man and Bass. Both characters have exceptional animation. I suggest you download the ROM from the ROM Top 50 sites. You won't be sorry!

Game Boy

This was basically repeats of the NES Mega Man games. The Game Boy had the same bosses as the NES games, except one game behind. So bosses that appeared in Mega Man 3 for NES appeared in Mega Man 4 for Game Boy. The graphics sucked, as with all Game Boy games. These games were for diehard fans only. If you really want one, I suggest you go to eBay.com where you can pick up some cheap games for maybe $5.

That's all the Mega Man games that I've played. If you want the rest of the reviews, go to Gamefaqs.com and read them there.
