Overview:
The telecommunications industry is one of the fastest growing and largest fields of employment for electronics technicians. During this course you will be introduced to communication systems and their circuits used in the communication industry. This course is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge you will need to become entry-level communication technicians. We will focus on the types of work that communications technicians perform in the communications industry. This will include building, evaluating, and testing communication circuits and the theory of their operation.
You as a student will be required to demonstrate proficiency and technical literacy in mathematics, reading, and writing as well as circuit construction trouble shooting and repair. To do this you will be required to write technical reports on communications related subjects; like work projects, circuit operation, and evaluations of labs performed during class.
Topics to be covered will include:
