| VICTORIA |
The state I do not know.
Victoria: (Area = 227,600 kmē) (Population = 4,700,000)
Inland Victoria is mainly rural with areas of farming and fruit growing and northern Victoria runs into the Australian Alps, an area that is ideal for skiing in the winter.
Victoria
is Australia's smallest mainland state and has the highest density of population
of any state in Australia.
Victoria's capital city is Melbourne the second biggest city in Australia and enjoys a healthy rivaly with Sydney. Melbourne is located near the south coast of this state and is more akin to being located in Europe than Australia. Melbourne is a cultural melting pot with over a quarter of the population being born overseas.
Victoria
has alot of coastline with some superb beaches with some famous surf spots like
Bells Beach. The Great Ocean Road in Victoria has some of the best coastal scenery
in Australia.
If I did ever visit Victoria, I can't remember it. This and Tasmania are the two places I haven't been. I will get there one day though.
