Name: John McCall Age: 47 Gender: Male Occupation: Detective, LAPD Description: McCall is 5' 10" tall and weighs about 210lbs. He has short cropped hair and hazel eyes set in a rugged face. He is a burly, thick-featured man who looks as if he would be more at home in the cab of an 18-wheeler instead of a Detective in the LAPD. His features, whilst not handsome, are attractive to most women and he has a winning, boyish smile and twinkling eyes. McCall has no preference to the type of clothes he wears and is equally at home in suits as well as casual attire. However, when he arrived in Jamesville he was clad in jeans, shirt and cowboy boots. Personality: Quite friendly and fairly outgoing with a wry sense of humour McCall is by no means a ladies man. Having said that however he has little trouble attracting members of the opposite sex. He is a dedicated Detective and will stand for no nonesense ... from anyone. John McCall *hates* dogs with a vengeance and, of course, dogs lnow this ... Background: Born in New York and raised on the 'wrong side of the tracks', McCall decided, at an early age, that he wanted out. Completing his High School education, majoring in Law, a feat in itself, McCall packed up and left for warmer, richer climes and moved to Los Angeles. Working in a bar to pay his way he applied for, and was granted, a position at the Police Academy where he excelled in all aspects. His training over he became a Patrolman with the LAPD. His dedication made him many enemies amongst the criminal fraternity but also earned him the respect of his superiors and soon he was promoted to Detective. Again his hard work and high arrest record gained him more promotions and, today, he has attained the lofty rank of Lieutenant. Taking a short vacation McCall decided to fly to New York to visit his parents but his small charter plane was beset by engine trouble and was forced to make an emergency landing at the small, private airfield in Jamesville, Arizona ... Skills/talents: A first-rate Detective McCall who, thanks to his upbringing on the rough streets of New York, is also a pedant of unarmed combat and can 'put the boot in' when necessary. His Police training has given him impressive skills with a handgun, rifle, shotgun and submachinegun. He is a fair to middling car driver but prefers to ride a motorcycle ... he likes the freedom. Strengths/Weaknesses: STRENGTHS: As a cop with an impressive record it is only to be expected that very little rattles McCalls cool ... except dogs. On the trail of a criminal he will not cease his pursuit, sometimes even to the point of disobeying orders. WEAKNESSES: An, almost pathalogical hatred (read fear) of dogs ... especially *big* dogs.
