Name: Maxwell "Max" Glenview Age: 20 Gender: Male Occupation: Burn-out Description: Max is 6 foot even. He has shoulder length kind of scruffy brown hair. Sharp penetrating brown eyes. Rarely smiles or shows emotion with his mouth, most of his emotion portrays from around his eyes. He does not have an athlete's build, with a little extra skin smoothing out all of his physical features, though he has strength underneath. His left arm has a long series of horizontal scars up above the elbow. He wears prescription glasses, though he tends to wear prescription sunglasses even at night. Personality: Max is incredibly bright, but not always a very good people person. He understands people pretty well, but just doesn't care. He always tries to look for the eloquent technological solutions, much preferring something fancy than to using his hands. He is a quick thinker and good at making decisions, but most people don't like his leadership style. He tends to snap at people when he feels something is important to get his point across. He is a bit embittered to women, though definitely straight, after being burned a number of times, he just can't bring himself to trust them. Background: Max had been a genius as a child. He skipped through grades throughout his career, getting his doctorate in electrical engineering at 18. He spent the next year and a half, not only picking up his second doctorate in chemistry, but also selling several electronic compression optimizations to the Department of Defense. He then proceeded to burn out and to burn out bad. The pressure to always develop something new and crack what the other guys were doing took its toll on him. He loves working in his specialties, but not for anyone else. He quickly became a bit reclusive, cashed out all the bonds he had gotten, bought a Hummer, some equipment, and was driving out west to look at buying one of the old abandoned missile silos to use as a home. Skills/talents: Max is very skilled when it comes to electronics and chemistry. His two doctorates not only give him a lot of practical knowledge, but theoretical as well. He keeps most of what he owns packed in the back of his hummer. Having been a boy scout, and worked for the Department of Defense, he knows how to use firearms. He keeps an old Vietnam issue assault rifle in his truck and usually has a pistol hanging from his belt. As a bit of a geek, he also owns a full medieval chainmail suit he had bought at a Ren Faire and a well cared for saber. He has a full computer in his trunk, though he usually just uses a Palm loaded with Britannica. He has some basic electronic equipment and tools in boxes. He doesn't own much in the way of clothes, only about a weeks worth. Strengths/Weaknesses: He is a fast and creative thinker. He can come up with solutions that are well outside of the box. Unfortunately, his people skills aren't the best, as he currently hates "people" as a general category.
