Although schooled in war, he's not a violent man by nature. Background: Hunter Thomas Brigman was born into a lower class family in Oakland, California. His older brother Garret ran with a gang, but even Garret didn't want this path to be Hunter's. Instead, out of high school, Hunter enlisted in the United States Army. He worked hard, and was rising through the ranks of noncommissioned officers when he was called in to battle in the Gulf War. They say combat changes a man, and it certainly had it's affect on Hunter. He saw his share of killing as an infantryman. His MOS was weaponry, and he also learned a lot about mechanics and vehicles. If anything, though, the experiences of the war made Hunter more even-tempered and slow to rile. He knew what it was like to spill blood, and he'd had his fill of it. After the war, he served out his hitch and then mustered out. He was able to get work as a Brinks Armored Car guard and helped pay his younger sister, Amelia, through college. Garrett had been arrested and was serving a term in prison. Eventually, Hunter retired from the dangerous job of armored car guard and went on to settle in to a nice, cushy security job for a department store. Sure, it didn't pay as well, but then he was much less likely to be shot at... or have to shoot somebody else. Skills/talents: Hunter Brigman is a mellow, easygoing fellow with a way with words. He's diplomatic and sociable. And when that fails, he has a high talent for killing. He's a certified marksman, and is familiar with most civilian and military small arms, as well as some heavier weapons such as rocket launchers and mortars. He has military hand-to-hand training and is an accomplished boxer. He is a talented mechanic and can repair most cars or other mechanical devices. He's also a good driver, familiar with trucks, jeeps, APCs... you name it. In the Gulf he picked up survival skills and learned how to navigate a battlefield. Finally, as a security guard, he has a surreptitious eye and is highly observant. Strengths/Weaknesses: Hunter is strong and athletic, with excellent aim and sharp eyesight. He's got above-average hand-eye coordination and agility. However, he also has a few bad habits. He's a smoker, and has been unable to quit the habit. He isn't naive, but has a tendancy to be fairly trusting. He also has a chivalrous streak, and will do his best to protect those weaker than him.
