Name: Daniel McGuire Age: 36 Gender: Male Occupation: Daniel is the grandson of an old Cherokee tracker. His father was a police officer in Colorado. Dan followed in his footsteps, first as a young trooper fresh out of college, then an officer in the BIA (Bureau of Indian Affairs) and now an agent in the FBI. Now with the Bureau, Dan has been assigned to Department 15 which follows up previous cases, whether solved or not (please dont mention the X-Files. Dan HATES that show *chuckle*). Description: Height- 6' 2" Weight- 187 lbs. Well muscled. In good physical conditioning. Eyes- Green Hair- Black. Worn slightly long, Usually tied into tail at nape of neck. Dan wears the requisite Suit with well managed and disguised discomfort. He perfers comfortable clothing, even when on a case and working. Personality: Dan grew up listening to his Grandfather and Grandmother tell old ghost and horror stories form their youth. As he grew and entered "the white mans world" of his father these stories and legends faded quickly as the intuition of his mother and that of his father combined and pushed him toward service as a police officer. Dan entered the BIA as a well grounded "sensable" young man not prone to flights of fancy and though shaken by a few "odd" encounters, he moved to the FBI with the same rock solid faith in what was real and what wasnt. Unsure as to actual motivation Dan begged, whined wheedled and cajoled anyone and everyone to get assigned to Department 15, much to the confused stares of several of his colleages. Background: Dan is the son of Cyde and Lisa McGuire of Tuscon. As previously stated he followed in his fathers footsteps and became a police officer, then moved on to the BIA and finally coming to rest in the hallowed halls of the FBI. Dan is taking a much needed vacation as he enters the game, first visiting his mom and dad in Tuscon and then driving out to Jamesville to visit his grandparents. Skills/talents: Dan is a highly trained investigator and a "damn fine cop". He posesses the strong internal intuition of successful agents and investigators, which he continually struggles to balance against his education and training. Strengths/Weaknesses: Dans greatest strength is his endurance and tenacity, an apparent modern manifestation of his grandfathers tracker instinct. Once on a case Dan is known for trying to go non stop for as long as he can. This is also his greatest weakness. Dan attempts to solve a case as quickly as he can without sacrificing procedure. This usually stresses him out to the point of crashing. Dan's second weakness is his apparent rationality which often clashes with the nagging "itch" of the instincts he inherited form his father and grandfather. Back Next Character
