Gino Cieli quickly ducks under one of the couches in the Entrance Hall to the Center, hoping none of the students passing by will give him away to his dueling opponent. If she even got here, yet. The teenage boy waits for a large group of students he can blend into and walk away with, but so far, there've only been small groups of students walking by.
Pascal's cowboy boots make soft thuds upon the blue carpet as she holds her wand out still, gaining several wary looks from students as they pass by. She can't see Gino behind the couch, and thankfully for him, no one's telling. Sticking close to the wall, Pascal huddles close to one of the potted plants, leaning against the pedestal that the pot sits upon. "Come out, Momma's boy. You were all talk before. Where's the action?" Her voice grows mockingly cute. "I'm not having any fun!"
Gino Cieli quickly peeks up over the couch he's hiding behind and casts expelliarmus. A bright light shoots out of his wand, but in the haste of his cast, he didn't ensure his accuracy and the light - instead of hitting Pascal and throwing her wand away - landed on the plant Pascal was using for cover. It quickly shot backward into the wall, shattering and sending dirt flying about everywhere.
Oops. Looks like she's going to have to be a little more careful. qPascal ducks, but not nearly fast enough. A shard of terra cotta, coming from the pot of course, nicks her cheek quite nicely. She quickly goes to the next pot, the sound of crunching heard as she tramples all over the broken plant and pot. She winces, and knows that it's cut, and can feel the blood trickling down her face. The blood drains from her features and now she's angry. Her fists clench into tight white balls, and she raises her arm up, wand all ready to do its magic. "Exsilium deporto!" She whispers rather steadily, aiming right for the couch where Gino is. The banishment charm. In a few seconds he's going to have a find a new hiding spot.
Gino Cieli says, "Oh shit," Gino mutters as the couch in front of him slowly fades out of existence. He turns to Pascal to complain, "Watch where you aim that thing, huh? You could banish me from earth forever. And who knows where that'd send me?" After that, he grins and casts, "Agellus severitas," giving off a visible forcefield of a purplish light around himself. "I hope you're accurate," he starts, "Because you'll need to be to penetrate this gravity field."
Of course, that couch is going to end up somewhere else in the school. Pascal may know how to use the charm, but it doesn't mean she's a master wizard at it. She smirks at Gino, whispering, "contego vos" once more just to reinforce her own defensive shield. "Not a problem. Not at all." She cocks her head to the side, and with a flick and swish of her wand she points it at a potted plant near Gino. "Wingardium Leviosa." She levitates it and places it right above Gino and his gravity shield. She's going to try and bash her way through it, of course.
Gino Cieli just looks up at Pascal's desperate attempt at breaking his barrier and then laughs, before turning his gaze back on the girl, "You think that's going to get through? Go ahead and drop it. I dare you." And he folds his arms if front of his body to show the girl that he's not going to move.
Being the literal person she is, and combined with the fact that she doesn't particularly care about Gino's own well being, Pascal only offers a light, "As you wish," before she sends the the pot smashing into Gino's shield. And of course, as he predicted, the shield holds up. Pascal's eyes narrow, but she's hardly through with him yet. "Restio-necto," she mutters, and a series of ropes shoot from her wand, to grasp at several more potted plants around the room. The entrance hall is strangely quiet except for the two duelers, and there's a rather large amount of dirt and debris scattered everywhere. "We can try with five more, if you like," she says, smirking.
Gino Cieli quickly laughs at his opponent, "Try all you like, but you'll never get through this shield with such a primitive attack. Christ, you think something a muggle could do would work against a wizard's magic? Go ahead and try it. I'm not moving." But this time, Gino looks a little less relaxed and more focused on Pascal's movements. Sure his hands are still folded across his chest, but his stare on Pascal may show that he's watching her every movement.
Eventually he'll get tired, just like Pascal'll get tired and one of them will let their guard down. For the moment, her face is still pale that cut slowly scabbing up, and her hand is shaking with pure rage as she holds her wand in it. They could be here a very long time. "Wingardium Leviosa," she says again, raising the ropes, which, in turn, raises the plants. And then she pelts his shield with the pots, two at a time. The first two fly right at Gino, aimed for his upper arms on opposite sides.
Finally, it's Gino Cieli's chance to counter-attack this girl. Who knew such a small prank would start such a violent duel. The boy quickly ducks and rolls under the two pots and his forcefield fades as he needs to use his wand for, "Expelliarmus!" This time he tries to focus a little more on his accuracy as he comes out of his roll to cast the spell. The same type of light as before shoots out of Gino's wand, in Pascal's direction.
Having a little too much confidence in her own defense-shield, not to mention that she's also cast another charm, Pascal's eyes widen to the point where a white ring is seen around the emerald green colour of her optics. The wand flies backward and hits the wall, and the pots that she was once holding with the ropes come smashing down to the ground. In a beautiful cacaphony of broken pottery, crushed plants, and tumbling dirt. She searches for her wand, and having lost that precious bit of time, it leaves her quite open for attack as she fumbles to wield it again.
Gino Cieli smiles as he sees his spell break through Pascal's shield, "You can't win, girl. It's a fact. Boys can do anything girl's can do but better. Admit it." With little effort or focus behind his cast, Gino says, "Locomotor Mortis," and flicks another beam of light from his wand. At the far distance he is from Pascal and the lack of concentration he used, it's unlikely it will hit its target, though.
'Sexist pig!' Pascal thinks bitterly in her mind. Finally having gotten her wand back and ready, the only thing available on hand as the spell bolts it way towards her is, "Protego." It comes out as a whisper and is barely enough, as Pascal is knocked back into the wall by the force of the shield blocking Gino's curse. "You, deserve to be castrated," she growls, catching her breath as the wind is knocked out of her. Gino's doing a very good job of pressing her buttons, but then again, she is dueling rather viciously here herself. "LUMOS SOLARUM!" She exclaims darkly, and a brilliant blast of light explodes from her wand; much like a blast of light that one would see, if they were to look directly into the sun.
Gino Cieli shield his eyes from the piercing light beaming at him. As he looks away, he curses himself for never finding a good defense to that spell. "Agellus severitas," he shouts again, but with so much light in the room, he can't see if it worked, because he can't open his eyes to check for the purplish glow of the successfully cast shield.
Pascal can't see herself. She's got her right arm up to shield her eyes, while the left one continues to hold her wand. It's a wonder that no teachers have come screaming into the Entrance Hall yet. "Serpensortia," Pascal mumbles, holding her wand out to where she thinks Gino is. A large black snake bursts out of the end of her wand, and while it's in the fading light, it hisses and shoots upright, flaring out. A large, black, cobra.
Gino Cieli finally realizes that the light is fading and opens his eyes. Of course, he's got the afterburn in his eyes, still hampering his vision, but his ears still work well enough to tell him that there's a snake right in front of him. He starts to walk back slowly, trying not to cause too much vibration on the floor. A tough feat, considering he is walking through a disaster zone of broken potted plants.
Well, Pascal Curio is rather content to leave Gino with the snake. She's got a cut on her face, and numerous forming bruises on her body to count tomorrow morning. "Sonorus," she says quietly, and a dark smirk curves her face. "Have fun with the snake," she booms, causing the snake whip around in her direction. Seeing that the snake has turned, she just laughs, it sounding like a loud booming cackle of a teasing raven, and quickly slips out of the AMC entrance hall, the way she came.
oO(Wow, what a girl,)Oo. Gino Cieli thinks to himself as he watches her leave the hall. Then, remembering the snake on the ground, Gino thinks quickly and casts, "Wingardium Leviosa," on it. He then walks out of the hall himself with the snake floating in front of him in plans of starting over the whole process. A snake is much worse to drop on someone than a simple branch, however.

Subject: Dueling over... a large twig.

Sebastian is currently sitting on his bed, in his dorm room. Amazingly enough, he doesn't have some sort of food shoved down his throat. He's just about to fall asleep sitting up when Edward rushes in. Sebastian looks up groggily; Edward goes to sit on Sebastian's bed, smearing dirt and leaves everywhere.

S: Hey. I need to sleep in this bed tonight. (he pauses and remembers) One of the boys in the dorm next to us came screaming in here about a giant black snakes raining down from the sky!
E: Shut up and listen. I'm on my way back to the dorm-rooms from the library, the Charms textbooks are still missing all their words, by the way, and the entrance hall was like this giant WARZONE.

Sebastian remains silent and just blinks at Edward.

E: I was talking Franklin, who talked to Cherry, who talked to Leo, who overheard some 7th grader say that there was this snobby looking 10th grader throwing rocks at them. They think he started it.
S: He trashed the place by himself?
E: Nuh-uh. They also said that there was this giant flash of light and then that crazy hexing girl left the AMC laughing like some psycho-witch.
S: So what happened?
E: I bet you they were dueling, but now I've got pieces of clay stuck all to the bottom of my shoes from the broken pots.

The two boys fall silent as Edward picks at the soles of his new runners.

So what is it? Why are there snakes falling out of the sky? Is Edward crazy? Was there dueling in the entrance hall of the AMC? Why wasn't Sebastian eating anything? And what about Franklin?
