Maria's Visit To

Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum

Only at Madame Tussaud's can a commoner such as myself pull up a chair and sit beside the King of England, lay my hand upon William The Conqueror's shoulder, and get this close to the Pope of Rome!! And no where else will you find Mahatma Ghandi sharing the same space with Saddam Hussein. The figures in this museum looked so real and life-like, that on a number of occassions I spoke to a person, only to find out they were one of the wax figures!! The good news is, they didn't answer.

Go ahead, scroll on down and "hob-nob" with the best of them from all over the world. Just don't bother to stop and speak to them!! On the first row you can visit with Napolean Bonaparte, David Copperfield, and Elizabeth Taylor. Click on their pics to get a better view.

Here you'll find me waiting in line to enter Madame Tussaud's. So come on in with me and I'll introduce you to Superman,a King named John, my friend Susan with Boris Becker, and some guy whose name escapes me.

Our next illustrious guests include Martin Luther King, my friend William The Conqueror, Pope John XXIII, Marilyn Monroe, (I don't recognize this next gentleman) and last but not least, Mikail Gorbachew.

This next group consists of two unknown men who met their fate on the guillotine. And Mahatma Ghandi.

This is the model of a head which shows the first step in the molding of a wax figure once the photographs of the person have been taken.

And now we come to the end of our visit with Mr. T., Crocodile Dundee, and Queen Elizabeth 1. If you've never been to London to visit Madame Tussaud' Wax Museum, I hope you will get to go one day. There are many many more figures there than what you saw here and it is definitely worth the visit.
