Okay, this is my advice and quotes page…some of it is actually really good advice and some good quotes…some of them just make me laugh or are even plain stupid~~it really depends on your sense of humor….i got the idea from this email that I received. Okay the first thing is from the email, which was on the chain letter (I don’t really do chain letters but it actually had some good advice…since I broke the chain letter…”something bad” will happen to me but I really don’t care.) any way I thought I’d post it on my site because it is actually good advice. I have also included my thoughts on each one in stars.

Lotus Totus

1)Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

2) Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.

3) Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

4)When you say, "I love you," mean it.

5)When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye.

6)Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

7)Believe in love at first sight.

8)Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much.

9)Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.

10)In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.

11)Don't judge people by their relatives.

12)Talk slowly but think quickly.

13) When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, "Why do you want to know?"

14)Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

15)Say "bless you" when you hear someone sneeze.

16)When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

17)Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

18)Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

19) When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

20)Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.

21) Spend some time alone.

okay good advice!!!!:) okay well now I have some quotes!!! Sorry im trying to be excited for the sake of being excited and its really really weird.

*** “Always put yourself on your buddy list, that way when no one is on you will always heve someone to talk to”

~*~me~*~……don’t ask I was in a weird mood when that came up

*** “In the garden, under the stars, I made a wish that my knight in shining armor will come to me and together we will fly away, up to the skies…to the garden of Eden…”

~*~unknown~*~(pulled off a FFVIII background)

*** “For years I have walked down this path of life feeling alone and empty until an angel came from heaven and touched the depths of my heart…” ~*~unknown~*~(pulled off a FFVIII background)

*** “Common looking people are the best in the world: that is the reason the Lord makes so many of them.”

~*~Abraham Lincoln~*~

*** “The best way to get a bad law repealed is to enforce it strictly. “

~*~Abraham Lincoln~*~

*** “People never say , ‘It’s only a game’ when they are winning.”

~*~Anon.~*~… pulled from my “agenda”

*** “If you love something set it free, if it comes back it’s yours, and if it doesn’t then it never was.”

~*~Anon.~*~…off someone’s binder

*** “You were born an original, don’t die a copy”

~*~Anon.~*~…pulled from my “agenda”

*** “When your dad is mad and asks, ‘Do I look stupid?’ don’t answer him”

~*~Heather~*~…pulled from my “agenda”

*** “If winners never quit and winners never quit then who came up with the saying ‘Quit while you’re ahead’?”

~*~Anon.~*~…pulled from my “agenda”

*** “If Barbie is so popular then how come you have to buy all her friends?”

~*~Anon.~*~…from a bumper sticker in Hot topic

*** “When I grow up I want to be just like Barbie, that bitch has EVERYTHING!!!”

~*~Anon.~*~…from a bumper sticker at FX

Okay here is some more advice which I’ve pulled from several magazines (no I don’t remember which ones because ALL my “mags” turn in to collages eventually…so these are most likely a combo of Seventeen, Teen, YM, Teen People, and Cosmo Girl…yeah I still actually buy these teeny bopper mags but they have better cut out stuff then People, and Cosmopolitan. :p )

~*~Don’t Be a Perfectionist~*~

***You don’t have to be the Einstein of the class or the Chamique of the court (or the Van Gogh or Monet for we artists out there :) to still be good at what you do, says Susan Mackey, Ph.D. (the senior staff therapist at the Family Institute at Northwestern University in Evanston, ill)

~*~Be Picky~*~

***Make an effort to spend time with people who are supportive and encouraging, suggests Marilyn J. Sorenson, Ph.D. (author of Breaking the Chain of Low Self-Esteem) Don’t be afraid to spend less time with people who put you down or try to make you feel bad about yourself. They aren’t worth your time no matter how popular they might be.

~*~Dream Big~*~

If your journal is your place to vent about the bad stuff, keep a dream book for all the good stuff. Add notes from your friends, praise from teachers and photos of your favorite places to remind you of what’s great about your life when you’re feeling low.

~*~Boost Someone Else’s Confidence~*~

Is your best bud bummed about not making the soccer team? Tel her/him why you think he/she is awesome. It’ll feel good not to think about your own problems for a while.

~*~Straighten Up~*~

You’ve heard it a million times before-“Stand up straight!”-but it really can make a difference. Next time you’re feeling down on yourself, stand tall and square those shoulders-you’ll suddenly feel invincible!

~*~Sing A Song~*~

Ally McBeal and Rosie know it: Singing a song, even if it’s in your head, releases endorphins and actually makes you feel great. It can be a tune you already know, or one you make up, just make sure it mentions how you rock.

~*~Forgive Yourself~*~

If you make a bad decision, do poorly on a test or clam up talking to that hottie, keep thinking straight. You’re not a bad person; you just made one bad move.

~*~Keep A Journal~*~

Writing down all your frustrations somewhere private is a great way to get things off your chest. And your problems might not seem as serious when you go back and read them later.

~*~Get Creative~*~

Paint, write, join the drama troupe-maybe even learn how to play a musical instrument. If you’re down about all the stuff you can’t do, you’ll get a rush from learning something completely different.

~*~Send Positive Vibes~*~

Show some kindness, not only to your guy/girl, but to friends and other people he might see you with. “Be yourself-that’s what makes you different and unique.” Says Lodge.

~*~Mix and Mingle~*~

Girls tend to hide in packs, and that’s intimidating for a guy. “He won’t approach an entire group of girls, so separate yourself,” says Clyde. Once you’ve gotten away, ask your babe’s opinion on a song you want to request. It could open up a heated discussion.

~*~Remember Your Best Friend From Childhood~*~
