John Soares is a talented Portuguese player that has been around the Vancouver Island Soccer League and the sport of Soccer for many years.

How was your time in Portugal playing Professional Soccer?

Definately one of the highlights of my life. It was great to travel every second week and play against top quality players. I made great friendships with players from the Islands of Portugal, the mainland and Spain.

What is your favorite moment in your soccer career?

My favorite moment in my soccer career was being the rookie of the year in the National Program for Portugal when I was 16 years Old.

Who are your favorite soccer players/idols?

That is hard to say, I have so many soccer players that I love to watch play. Figo, Zico, Zidane, Platini, and Ronaldinho. They are so graceful when they move with the ball, its awesome to watch them play.

Who is/was the most influential person/people in your soccer career?

The most influential person for me was my father. Absolutely. He always supported me and assured me that if I followed one major principle of soccer I would become a good player. The principle was to never be selfish and always play for your teammates first.

How are you enjoying your time with your new venture in Titan Sports?

It is a great time a great challenge, but it has also been a dream come true.

What are your goals for your business/any long-term plans for the future?

My long-term goal is to make Titan Sports a place where everybody is comfortable and enjoys their visit. Titan Sports is a place that everybody knows integrity has a true meaning, a place where people not only get the sporting goods they require, but also have a place to hang out. Everybody's Welcome.

Lastly, Which club team is your all-time favourite? Why?

My all-time favorite soccer team is Real Madrid. The reason I am a Real Madrid fan is because they always play an offensive style of soccer. Especially now with such great players like Figo, Zidane, Roberto Carlos, Beckham, Raul and lastly but not least Ronaldo.
