Kai can swim. I beleive you press X to swim. You're supposed to measure it, but make sure it's a fast measure! Make sure you surface before you run out of breath.
Chicken Festival

"Fight-Fight-Fight-Fight!" I couldn't resist :) Enter your best hen and take it to the square. Seems like Natsume's pretty much killed the No Violence policy. There, you're hen will scare the bageezes out of the other hens and PRESTO! Your hen is ready to take on Jackie Chan and can lay golden eggs.
Tomato Festival

Kai's favorite festival "Because there are so many people worth creaming". Hmm. In this festival, you join a team and you throw tomatoes at other teams. Make sure you save the night before 'cause you'll definately need multiple chances.
The teams are as follows (the underlined people are who joins if you don't):

Enter your best cow. The festival will be held at Yodel Ranch, and if you cow wins it will produce Golden Milk

Everyone goes to the beach to see the fireworks. Talk to your girlfriend and the fireworks begin.

The day before, Pastor Carter comes by your house and asks you to play. Karen sings, Elli and Ann play flutes, Mary plays the piano/organ, and if you agree you play the Ocarina at the church for the entire village

Bring anything and toss it in the pot. What you bring determines whether the stew will taste good or bad...
Moon Viewing

Go up to the top of Mother's Hill. The girl who likes you the most will be there and she'll ask you to watch the moon with her
Sheep Festival
Fall 21
See who has the best sheep. Enter the sheep with the highest heart rating and make sure it has its coat or it can't be judged. Therefore, don't employ the Harvest Sprites help with your animals as the date approaches.
Winter
Dog Race
Winter 10
Race your dog against the others. The higher your dog's affection rate is, the better it does. Make sure you stay at your dog's pace! Otherwise, you'll do what my brother did and run all the way there, stop, and realize you dog's still 7/8 of the track away.
