There she was bouncing to the beat of the D.J.’s mix. Her red hair was being thrown from one side to another. The skirt and the strapless top didn’t do her justice. Without even think he turned to his guy friends who were sitting with him at the table and said, “Hey I’ll be back.” He sat his fourth drink in the last three hours on the table and walk towards the girl. As he walked closer to her, he noticed that she was very attractive.
“Hey” Mike said.
Nicole turned her head to the sound of the voice her hazel eyes scanned mike up and down, checking out his clothing, Cute, she thought to herself “ Hi!”
“I’m Mike. I was noticing that you like this song. You want to dance with me?” Mike asked. It was typical corny question, but Mike just hoped for her to say what he wanted he wanted to hear which was-
“Sure! I’m Nicole” Nicole replied.
Mike grabbed her drink from her hand and placed hers on the table next to them. “Hi Nicole” Mike said with a smile. Grabbing her hand they went onto the floor and started to move their bodies to keep up with the fast beat. While dancing Mike was in awe as he saw the girl’s body being let go. Damn she has great rhythm, he thought. After about 30 minutes of dancing. They both decided to take a break and walked back to where she was seating.
“You here with some friends?” Mike asked.
“Not Really. You?” Nicole stared at Mike.
“Yup, just my buddies and I. What do you do?” Mike asked.
“I’m a lifeguard at a local pool and yourself?” Nicole responded.
“I’m training to be a firefighter. I know-”
Mike didn’t even have time to finish his sentence when a slow song came up and Nicole eyes lit up. “Want to dance again?”
“Sure, I love this song.” It was Nicole’s turn to grabbed Mike’s hand and took him onto the dance floor.
During the time that Nicole and Mike starting swaying to the music they stared into each other’s eyes knowing what will soon happen. Her eyes took in Mike and her lips become full. He took the chance, leaned in and kissed Nicole. She is a good kisser he thought. He closed his eyes and continued to kiss her.
Nicole was also shocked. She is not a type of girl to do these kinds of things, but oh well, she felt different with this guy. His kisses were deep and full of fire. She pulled away and just stared at him.
“You want to get some air?” Mike asked, shock that he even suggested it.
“Sure, It’s getting hot in here, besides its time for me to go.” Nicole said.
Mike escorted Nicole out of the club and walk towards Nicole’s car. Their goodbyes lasted longer than anyone could imagine.

Standing outside of the local pool Nicole stood around with all her life guarding buddies after her shift was over.
“ Nicole you going with us tonight?” Greg asked her. “Going where?” she replied.
“ Were going to get some drinks. Today was a hot one, so I say it about time we cooled down.” Susan answered.
“Well-” Right when Nicole was about to give her
answer someone caught her attention from the corner of her eye. As she turned her head to get a better look, a guy came into focus Oh my, she thought to herself. Leaning against his car was Mike what is he doing here? “ Um, I’ll talk to you guys later” she waved goodbye to her friends and started walking towards Mike when she was stop in her tracks. Mike waved to her! A smile was starting to spread on her face how sweet of him! She was about to lift her arm to wave back she saw Samantha yell “ Hey You!” and she ran pass Nicole hugging Mike affectionately.
“Bye Samantha!” Susan yelled out.
Nicole was caught standing between of her group of her friends and Mike with Samantha. Samantha turned away from mike and replied “ Bye Guys!” just then Nicole caught the eyes of Mikes and his face went pale and his eyes went wide with shock.
“Lets go Mike” Samantha said as she was waiting for the door to be open.
“Yeah, lets go.” Mike opened her door and got into his side and the car sped away.

“Okay the reservations for dinner are set, pick me up at 7:00pm. Don’t be late this time.” Samantha said. She kissed Mike goodbye and got out of the car.
Mike was still numb from the shock he saw earlier. I can’t believe she works there. THERE! Of all places to work. He thought. He started the car up again and drove to his house. He walked into his bedroom, kicked off his shoes and pick out what he was going to wear for the dinner tonight. He already took a shower, but now he somehow still felt dirty, so he stripped down and took another one.
At about 5:45pm, Mike was drying himself off as the phone rang. “Probably Samantha” he said out loud as he grabbed the phone off the hook “Yes Samantha, I’m on my way-”
“ Hey Mike!”
Mike knew that hearing her voice there was bound to be some trouble. “Nicole, I’m kind of busy right now.”
“I know, but I was wondering if we can meet up, I need to talk to you about what has been happening.” Nicole said
Mike had to agree with Nicole on that, he had to put a stop to this before anything goes down. “It can’t be long. Where do you want to meet?”
On the other end Nicole grinned like a Chester cat. “Rob’s parlor on sixth and Madison.”
Mike sighed and looked at his clock “Fine see you at 6:00pm. Bye” he hung up the phone and threw it onto his bed. He got dress and the phone rang again. Mike hoped it was Nicole wanting to cancel. “Hello?”
“ Hey honey, you ready?” Samantha said
“Yes, but I have to do an errand real quick, I forgot to pay my electricity bill.” Mike said ‘What a horrible lie’ he thought to himself.
“Michael, can’t you pay that later?” Samantha questioned
“ No, today is the last day, there going to turn off my power tonight if I don’t” Mike replied. He knew he was going to get an earful later so her decided to wrap things up.
“Argh! Mike you always wait to the last minute of doing things” Samantha yelled.
“I’ll give you call when I’m on my way okay Sammy?” Mike can always get away with things when he calls her Sammy, he can picture her grinning right now, still trying to act mad. “Love you. See you later.”
“Love you too. Bye!” Samantha hung up the phone.
Mike hung up the phone and put it back on the charger. He grabbed his keys and headed to Rob’s Parlor.

As Nicole drank her tea, which tasted too sweet she look at her watch 6:15pm. 15 minutes late, not good on his part. She smiled about what she had planned for him. Please he is not going to get with cheating on her and me that easy. However Nicole is doing this more for her than for Samantha. She couldn’t have cared less what Mike did to her, but today was an embarrassment that she will never let down.
“Sorry I’m late.”
Nicole snapped out of her daze and look up at Mike. “ It alright take a seat” Mike hesitated, deciding if that was a good idea, but in the end he sat down. Nicole put aside her tea and said, “ You’ve been bad guy Mike. Kissing me and cheating on your girlfriend. You guys been together what? 6 months? Doesn’t she have a right to know what happen between her co worker and her boyfriend?”
“Look Nicole that was just one night alright-”
“Just answer the question Mike!” Nicole said.
Mike eyes got stoned cold and his jaw tighten “Don’t interrupt me, your taking this way out of line. Leave Samantha out of this. It doesn’t involve her. Its between you and I.”
“Correction, its does involve her and she DOES have a right to know.” Nicole reached into her purse and pulled out her cell phone. “ In about 10 minutes I’m about to call her and tell her what a cheating scum her boyfriend is. She will know everything that happen Mike and I’m not going to spare any details.”
“She won’t listen to you. You’re Bluffing. Stop playing these childish games and lets end it here.” Mike said. His heart started to beat really fast. What have I started?
Nicole just laughed, “Oh, I’m not and she will. Now I’ll call her in about 8 minutes. You better hurry.”
Mike just stared at Nicole not knowing what to do. “You better know what your going to get yourself into because whatever happens to Samantha and me. You’re going to live to regret it.”
Nicole lips tighten and her eyes also turned cold. She got up from her chair and lean towards Mike “ Don’t you dare blame this all on me. You’re the one who came up to me. You’re the one who kissed me and fondled me in the parking lot. You’re the one who didn’t say anything about having a girlfriend. So if you want to blame anyone on wrecking your relationship it should be YOU!” Nicole voice was rising to full volume when she reached the end of her sentence. People were starting to look and wonder what the commotion was. “ Now you got 6 minutes. You better leave, like right now!” Nicole said. She sat back down and flipped open her phone pushing ever so slowly one button at a time. Mike was just standing there, as if he was stuck in cement. Finally he broke free and started to sprint to his car and speed into traffic swerving in and out of the lanes.

Mike was now two blocks away from Samantha’s house with a minute left to spare. Mike undid his tie because he couldn’t breath anymore. He pulled into her driveway and got out the spare key to her house from the glove compartment. Please let Nicole be bluffing. I’m sorry for everything, don’t do this to me. As he opened the door he was stuck again when he saw Samantha wearing a sexy black dress with a slit on the both sides looking at the phone that was in her hand. All that came out of his mouth was “Happy Anniversary.”
