A little known fact of many Seifer fans is that his gunblade, Hyperion was actually the name of the titan of the sun in greek mythology. (ironic that most fanfics compare seifer to be like the sun as fujin the wind, squall the lion, rinoa the angel etc)
Hyperion's wife was Theia, the goddess of sight,
his parents ouranos and gaia. He had three children, Helios (became the driver of the sun carriage), Selene (driver of the moon carriage) and eos (or aurora, goddess of the dawn. i made a costume of her for the JCL all state latin con in '03 & won a prize)

-Seifer's eye color controversey
'Everyone agrees Seifer has sexy eyes. And indeed he does, with their cat-like look. But, no one can seem to agree on the color. Some say green, and indeed, in some cut scenes they do look green, a dark emerald. Some say silvery-blue, and on the triple triad cards I own he does indeed seem to have light blue eyes. Yet others say he has blue-green, or aquamarine eyes. This can also be called jade, or a light greenish color. Lastly, some just say he has blue eyes. But who’s right? It’s hard to say, but I’d have to go with the silvery-blue or a light aquamarine.'

I would personally have to say that I think his eyes are aqua, but however in certain lighting become grey. My case-
1. All of the other blondes in the game have blue eyes (Quistis, Zell)
2. He does not have green eyes, and I can prove it
You see, all official pics of him contain blue eyes....
You see? My eyes are usually brown but actually turn a rather inu-yasha like caramel in drect sunlight (the kind that you either have to squint in or it hurts)
Anyway, I think the reason there is so much confusion on this subject is because seifer eyes are natrually narrow, and he he often has them glaring too small to see the color. Either that or it is a motion shot, making the color even harder to pinpoint.
And that was my opinion, as fence-sitting as it was.
Seifer is actually pronounced Cypher!

Seifer/Eminem?
Have you ever noticed that in the Eminem song 'Lose Yourself', about 2 minutes into the song...
The actual lyric is
'But I kept rhymin and stepwritin the next cypher'
but the first time I listened to this song, I thought he was saying something something 'I'm the next Seifer"
well, it made sense, and I was highly amused until I saw the real lyrics.
