  As a Security Assistant (S.A.) and a member of the Department of Residence Life, your role in providing a safe and secure atmosphere for the residence halls is of paramount importance. Your are responsible for locking all entry/exit doors, activating and maintaining the alarm system, registering guests of residents, issuing loan keys to residents, and checking residents’ IDs as they enter the buildings after hours.  In addition, you will play a key role in campus crime prevention by reporting suspicious activities to the proper authorities.  
There will most likely come a time during the midnight shift, while maintaining the safety of the residence halls, when the Security

Assistant will come upon a situation or have a question that requires the attention of his/her supervisor, the Residence Hall Security Coordinator. The first question will surely be "How do I get in touch with this mysterious person?" Here the Security Assistant has two options:

 

Call the RHSC office at #3507. This is to be used for questions and requests that may be handled some time in the near future. For example, if a First Aid Kit needs more medical supplies or the Security Assistant Manual
